“The world is full of magical things waiting for our senses to grow sharper.” -W.B. Yeats

Ghosts and guardians watch over a woman as they sit in an obscure living room with grass as an area rug and trees growing from the bookshelves. This setting does not represent reality, but creates a new reality of its own. By including these familiar items in an unfamiliar place, the audience is able to accept the magic and mystery of the scene and become wrapped in the swirling, lyrical movements of the dancers.

INFO

"Being a spiritual seek and self-studier, I am intensely interested in the unknown as well as the process of transformation.  My work touches on the mysterious, the magical, and the human.  My theatrical creations are often intricately layered with gestural detail richly coloring my abstract stories.  I love to work with other artists.  I enjoy incorporating other elements such as poetry, drama, sculptures, videos, and photographs into my theatrical visions." –Shari Brookler
