a group of dancers slide down a wall

PS2

Bringing back an audience favorite from our 2007 season, Kate Hutter and Kevin Williamson pair up again to direct an evening of scored improvisation and dance theater reminiscent of their first collaboration - "pinky swear".

In PS2, the cast joins together to navigate the unknown and face their collective history with humor, humility and physical abandon.  Featuring a new cast of characters, and live music performance by cello / keyboard / electronic music maestro, Eric Mason.

Being a highly improvised performance, the experience changes each night and is influenced by the atmosphere the dancers and audience cultivate together.  You don't want to miss out on this intimate interaction with the artists in their creative process.

"The choreographers may set some starting points, ending points and landmarks along the route, but the alchemy of the dancers, musician, and audience will dictate the scenes along the route and perhaps some interesting detours." -- Ann Haskins, L.A. Weekly

"With their 2007 collaboration engagingly titled Pinky Swear Kate Hutter and Kevin Williamson served notice that they and the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company deserved attention for an ironic sense of humor as well as for their dance-making." -- Ann Haskins, L.A. Weekly
