LACDC presents FAM, an evening length work of movement, film, video design, intense practical visuals and rhythmic landscapes, featuring the full company of twelve dancers.
Choreographed by former Artistic Director Genevieve Carson and set to the intoxicating soundscape of Jamie XX’s new album “In Colour," FAM explores the tight knit relationships formed between dancers during the intimate process of developing work. Performers knead together broad pictures, ignite smaller moments and complete visual worlds only to break them down quickly, emphasizing the fleeting nature of art making and the tumbling sensation of the creative process.
