Madison Olandt

Madison Olandt is a movement artist and director based in Los Angeles. She graduated from UCLA, with a double major in Psychology and World Arts Cultures/Dance. Madison has worked with companies such as Diavolo LA, Jacob Jonas The Company, Pilobolus, Whim W'Him Seattle Contemporary Dance, Peridance Company, Dallas Black Dance Theater, USC Kaufman, UCSB Dance Company, Mike Tyus and Co, Mashup Dance Company, Iluminate, and more. She's created work in partnership with Google, Performance Paradigm, FILA, TEAM WANG, Cartier, The Music Center, Marriott Bonvoy, Anthropologie, STANCE, COACHELLA, 88 Rising, and other major brands. Her passion for film has brought her into many different spaces; creating choreography for feature films, short films, music videos, and documentaries. Her movement language comes from everywhere and simultaneously nowhere. Madison is interested in the relationship between multiple bodies in space, as much of her work centers around partnering and hyper connectivity as it relates to the human experience.

After 20 years of artistic creation and community engagement, L.A. Contemporary Dance concludes its journey as an organization as of January 9, 2026.

Founded to showcase dance in Los Angeles, LACDC evolved into a home for collective artistry where performances were crafted by choreographers and dancers alongside playwrights, composers, designers, filmmakers, photographers, stage managers, technicians — an incredible team whose imaginative work gave shape and emotional depth to our repertory. These collaborations brought contemporary dance to life in ways that were bold, explorative, expressive, and accessible.

Through live events, digital experiences, and educational programming, LACDC cultivated environments rooted in curiosity, belonging, and learning without judgment. The organization consistently asked how contemporary dance might better reflect and serve the community around it, valuing discovery over mastery and process alongside performance.
